PRATIBHA - A Free Educational Initiative

PRATIBHA - A Free Educational Initiative

Vivekananda Welfare Foundation is a beacon of hope for the underprivileged and downtrodden. Recognizing the need to combat social evils like child labor and abuse, VWF launched its flagship project, Pratibha - a free educational initiative for underprivileged children.

Education is the most effective tool to address these issues, and Pratibha aims to provide a holistic learning experience. Despite government initiatives like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan, many children remain out of school due to a lack of awareness about education's importance. VWF bridges this gap through social media campaigns, street plays, and community outreach.

However, the rising cost of education poses a significant challenge. To address this, VWF employs an innovative approach - utilizing existing school infrastructure and leveraging volunteer teachers, including college-going students. This model not only reduces costs but also provides young volunteers with valuable experience and skills.

Since its inception in 2019, Pratibha has focused on academics, extracurricular activities, skill development, and digital education. The project has successfully provided formal education to approximately 120 underprivileged children. Despite the pandemic-induced challenges in 2020, VWF seamlessly transitioned to online education, ensuring uninterrupted learning.

VWF's vision is to expand Pratibha's reach, establishing more centers across the city to provide opportunities for formal education to all underprivileged children. The foundation plans to introduce new initiatives, such as Education on Wheels, to reach remote areas and villages.

Through Pratibha, VWF provides a comprehensive support system, including:
  • - Academic education and extracurricular activities
  • - Digital education and skill development
  • - Meals and refreshments
  • - Educational resources and materials
  • - Clothing and uniforms
  • - Training and internship certificates for volunteers

As VWF continues to grow and expand its reach, it remains committed to empowering underprivileged children and fostering a brighter future for them.

At Vivekananda Welfare Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves access to basic necessities like food. "Bhojyo Upahar" is our humble attempt to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

During the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation sprang into action, undertaking numerous initiatives to alleviate the suffering of those affected. Amidst the lockdowns and social distancing measures, our team worked tirelessly to provide essential support to the most vulnerable members of our society.

One of the most notable initiatives launched during this period was "Bhojyo Upahar" - a free food distribution program aimed at feeding the less fortunate and providing sustenance to those struggling to make ends meet. Through this initiative, we were able to provide thousands of meals to those in need, bringing hope and relief to countless families.

Our COVID-19 relief efforts didn't stop there. We also distributed masks, sanitizers, and other essential items to those in need, while also providing emotional support and counseling services to those affected by the pandemic.

As we reflect on our experiences during the pandemic, we are reminded of the power of compassion, kindness, and community. We are proud to have played a small part in supporting those affected, and we remain committed to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

Join us in this noble endeavor, and together, let's bring a smile to the faces of the less fortunate.

Community Kitchen Initiative during Covid -19 Pandemic ( 1st & 2nd Wave)

"Community Kitchen Initiative" - Nourishing Hope During the Pandemic

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation sprang into action, launching a community kitchen initiative to feed the most vulnerable members of our society. In both the 1st and 2nd waves of the pandemic, our team worked tirelessly to provide hot, nutritious meals to stranded passengers, homeless individuals, and those in dire need.

Our community kitchen initiative was a beacon of hope during a time of great uncertainty. For two months, we provided daily meals to hundreds of people, ensuring that no one went hungry. Our team of volunteers and staff worked selflessly to prepare, cook, and distribute meals, often in challenging circumstances.

In addition to our community kitchen initiative, we also distributed dry rations to remote villages, reaching those who were most cut off from essential supplies. Our team navigated difficult terrain and logistical challenges to ensure that these vital supplies reached those who needed them most.

Through our community kitchen initiative, Vivekananda Welfare Foundation demonstrated its commitment to serving humanity and alleviating suffering. We are proud to have played a small part in supporting our community during its time of need and remain dedicated to continuing our work towards creating a more compassionate and equitable society.
